The health of your mind not only depends upon how you use our mind but it also depends upon how you take care of your body. Nutrition is a key component of healing of any organ system of the body including the mind. Nutrition effects brain development, brain activity and behavior.
Good nutrition is also critical for reaching health goals such as losing weight, quitting smoking and preventing degenerative diseases.
That is why at Mind Wave Institute we are committed to good nutrition. Like your heart, your mind needs complete nutrition from whole food, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, nuts and seeds.
Many processed foods contain ingredients, such as hydrogenated fats and artificial sweeteners that are harmful to the nervous system and should be avoided.
Unfortunately, most of us are missing many of the nutrients we need from fruits and vegetables and the essential fatty acids found in fatty fish, nuts and seeds.
All of these nutrients are critical to brain health. Without enough of these nutrients we run the risk of dementia, depression, ADHD and other diseases of the nervous system.
Why run the risk? We recommend supplementation with a whole food fruit and vegetable concentrate and omega-3 fatty acids from highly purified fish oil.
